The COMP54 Diode Compressor is a saturation Analog Plugin Module inspired by a famous British Compressor from the ’60s and ’70s.
The COMP54 Diode Compressor uses a matched diodes bridge to control the compression level.
The diode bridge circuitry produces a musical combination of 2nd and 3rd harmonics.
The COMP54 Diode Compressor gain stage is based on discrete Class-A opamp built with BC184 and BC214 transistors.
Two COMP54 Diode Compressor modules can be stereo linked for the master bus application. A stereo link cable is provided with every pair of COMP54 modules for free.
The COMP54 Diode Compressor delivers high headroom and is perfect form Tracking and Mastering.
HD Audio Samples
All samples are in wave 96k/24bit format recorded using C572 PRO.
How to use the COMP54 Diode Compressor Colour Module.
The COMP54 is easy to use saturation colour module.
In low levels of drive, the saturation will be suttle.
For medium levels of drive, the compression effect will become audible.
At the overdrive level, the asymmetric clipping will produce audible levels of THD.
HRK Colour Modules – True Analogue Plugins!
Colour Modules are Hardware Analogue Plugins made with NOS Discrete Components and Valves which add pleasing harmonics and subtle saturation to the signal, delivering the sonic results of the Vintage Studio Equipment for a fraction of the Price!
Each Colour Module is different and uniquely impacts the sound. You can use the Colour Modules for Recording, Tracking and Mastering.
What benefit I will get from Colour Modules?
The modern DAW systems can produce great results, but most of the sound engineers and music producers will admit that the mix produced with DAW is missing something… some special ingredient, which is the analogue magic.
This is why the big recording studios have racks filled with vintage preamps, compressors and equalizers. The HRK Colour Modules are real Analogue Plugins which will help you to make better recording and mixes standing out from the crowd.
